Greater Minnesota Collaboration
FREC seeks ways to connect with and support organizations in Greater Minnesota working on racial justice and equity in their communities.
If you are in Greater Minnesota and interested in collaborating, let us know who you are and how to reach you.
Overcoming Racism Conference
The 2023 Conference focused on two distinct topics:
Historical Recovery – reclaiming movements, strategies, approaches from the past that could be useful in our current work—if they were known, and
Paying What’s Due to those harmed by oppressive acts sanctioned by government and every other sector in our society in which primarily Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities were stripped of their land, rights and ability to create generational wealth.
Racial Equity Learning Series (RELI)
RELI was six online learning sessions, for two hours (January-May). The RELI Learning Series, now sunsetting, aimed to increase understanding about racial equity and empower participants to work for change within themselves, and to lead in their own organizations and communities. We provided a forum to unlearn and relearn from each other and translate new knowledge into action.
