Equity in Action: Cultivating Antiracist Universities

One-day FREE Virtual Conference, Monday, April 26, 9 AM to 4:45 PM CST

On Monday, April 26, 2021, the University of St. Thomas’s Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) will host its inaugural one-day conference, Equity in Action: Cultivating Antiracist Universities, focused on building and sustaining antiracist educational institutions.

In the morning session Professor Ibram X. Kendi, acclaimed historian and bestselling author of How to Be an Antiracist, will deliver a keynote, followed by facilitated small group dialogues. The day will also feature relevant artistic performances.  Attendees will then be invited to engage in discussions in breakout sessions and to take meaningful actions. In the afternoon attendees may choose to attend a series of workshops of their choosing. The day will close with a Call to Action. The conference is FREE. However, everyone must register to attend.
